Integrated policy on safety, health, environment and energy

ZENDAL is a biopharmaceutical group specializing in the prevention of human and animal health issues, with activities encompassing all phases of the process: research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of biological products and vaccines, probiotics, and pharmaceutical medicines. The Group operates three R&D centers and several biopharmaceutical production facilities located in its laboratories in O Porriño, León, Madrid, Barcelona and Paredes de Coura (Portugal), and has a presence in more than 65 countries.

The Management of ZENDAL expressly declares its firm commitment to the protection of people and the environment, applicable to all its activities, products, services, facilities, and to all individuals connected with the organization, including contractors, suppliers, and visitors. This commitment is a direct reflection of the corporate mission.

As part of its continuous improvement process aimed at sustainable development, ZENDAL integrates preventive and environmental aspects into its organizational structure, allocating the necessary resources to achieve this goal. Within this context, it reaffirms the following Policy on Safety, Health, Environment, and Energy Efficiency, which aims to:

  2. Eliminate hazards and reduce safety and health risks, make the best possible use of resources and energy, protect the environment, combat climate change, and prevent pollution, thereby ensuring the continuity of our company and a healthy environment.
  3. Promote worker participation and consultation, encouraging the contribution of ideas through a comprehensive, integrated, and participatory model based on people’s knowledge and engagement.
  4. Design and support the procurement and production of energy-efficient products and services.
  5. Comply with all applicable legal requirements and any other obligations to which our company subscribes, in order to achieve a high level of occupational, environmental, and safety performance.
  6. Promote practices and standards aimed at continuous improvement for sustainable development and the achievement of a healthy organization.
  7. Cooperate and maintain transparent and open communication with all interested parties, both internal and external, in order to build strong relationships and foster responsibility.
  8. Properly inform and train all individuals involved in our activities so that they act responsibly in relation to Safety, Health, and Well-being, Environmental Protection, and Efficient Energy Management.
